We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our network systems.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the IT team to design, plan, and implement network architecture that supports the organization's business goals and requirements.
- Assess current network infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Set up and manage network services such as DHCP, DNS, VPN, and VLANs.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, addressing bottlenecks and latency issues.
- Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging security technologies to ensure the network's integrity and compliance with relevant standards.
- Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and other network-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve network problems, both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement network backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of network failures or data loss.
- Regularly test and update disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, utilization, and security status for management review.
- Forecast network capacity requirements and plan for future growth, making recommendations for hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance of network equipment and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar networking role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and subnetting.
- Experience with network hardware and software, specifically Edge, Cisco, Juniper, or other leading brands.
- Proficiency in firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network security protocols.
- Proven experience managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for learning and a drive to stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
