Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 plus competitive benefits package

THE ROLE
The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) is seeking a dynamic Business Manager to drive operational excellence and strategic growth across URJ Camps & Immersives. This role closely collaborates with teams to improve the financial performance of flagship programs in the context of URJ priorities and annual targets. This includes enhancing business practices, supporting strategic planning, and aligning budgeting processes with organizational goals. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Integrated Business Manager reports to VP, Business Strategy & Management and closely collaborates with the VP, Camps & Immersives. This role is responsible for the following:
• Create workflows and tools to improve the financial performance of flagship programs in support of overall URJ sustainability (e.g. group purchasing and vendor management). 
• Consult on financial strategy including capital and facility planning, risk management, etc. with an eye towards org-wide integration and implications/tradeoffs of program-specific decisions. 
• Oversee multi-year business planning including revenue and expenses associated with program, capital, etc.  
• Manage non-routine or out-of-plan budget business needs.
• Ensure implementation of URJ policies and practices consistently across business units including annual budgeting, and quarterly projections. 
• Track and analyze financial performance to identify trends and work with senior leaders to guide action steps. 
• Streamline financial operations; monitor Camps and Immersives financial performance and advise bookkeepers and program directors on actions to strengthen results.
• Support URJ org-wide priorities.

WHO YOU ARE & KEYS TO SUCCESS (THE MUST-HAVES):
To be successful in this job, you excel in the following areas: 
• Business Strategy & Planning. Able to bring business strategy to scale. Experience with integrated business planning. Able to identify bottlenecks, recommend the allocation of resources, and identify initiatives that yield the highest returns, leading to improved efficiency, cost savings, and reduction of risk. Experience leading an integrated team, within an integrated organization, focused on business operations and planning. 
Finance. Ability to track and analyze financial performance highlighting trends and developing responsive action plans. Able to make sense of complex processes and provide recommendations and data to support financial decisions. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends. The ideal candidate will be familiar with fund/cost accounting and allocation methodologies. Must be comfortable working with, preparing, and discussing budget and financial matters. Can build financial aptitude among colleagues outside of the finance team. 
Digital Proficiency. Familiarity with modern business intelligence tools (e.g., Adaptive, Intacct, Power BI) and financial management software. This skill is crucial for analyzing financial data and trends efficiently.
Change Management. Experience in leading change management initiatives, as this role involves implementing new strategies and processes across different teams and units.
• Collaboration. Motivated leader who thrives on creating and sustaining a climate of inclusion, trust, and productivity. Highly motivated and holds self and others accountable for delivering on commitments on time and within budget. Initiate respectful, open dialogue to resolve issues when expectations are not met. Educate yourself on the work of the URJ outside of your area. Consider how your work can align with and strengthen others. Connect people and ideas to focus attention on opportunities for continuous improvement within and across teams.
Self-Management. Able to scope a project before starting to find purpose, outcomes, roles, and processes in relation to shared outcomes. Follow through with tasks on the agreed timeline. Proactively communicate if you are going to miss a deadline. Identify tools and processes that will increase and support accountability. Utilize effective time management tools to help with setting and meeting deadlines. Ask for help and support as needed. Maintain regular, open, honest, and respectful communication. 
• REDI Experience (Racial Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion). Demonstrated experience prioritizing and executing Racial Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (i.e., ableism, LGBTQIA+ Inclusion, antiracism, etc.) priorities. Willingness to seek out voices from diverse backgrounds to build ideas and make decisions. Prioritize outreach to multi-racial, marginalized communities. Plan and budget through a REDI lens using URJ resources.
