ForwardEdge ASIC is seeking an experienced electronics laboratory engineer to be involved in a fast-paced test environment. 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining an ASICs electronics lab, order components, solder and repair of test boards, work with design engineers in testing of prototypes electronics.


Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and inspect a wide range of  electronic test equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Perform diagnostic tests on electronic components to assess functioning level and capacity accurately .
• Maintain meticulous records of test equipment calibration and schedule calibration services in compliance with audit requirements.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Coordinate and conduct testing of electronic device prototypes according to specifications, collaborating closely with design teams.
• Develop and meticulously document testing procedures for various electronic components and systems. 
• Review test data and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Stay abreast of advancements in electronic testing technology and methodologies to continually enhance lab capabilities.
• Provide training and ensure safety protocols are followed by all personnel working in the lab.
• Interpret technical drawings, training manuals, and instructions to perform duties accurately.
• Perform non-precision calibration and minor repairs of electronic test equipment as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in an engineering discipline or electronics.
• Proven experience in testing and validation within an electronics lab environment.
• Proficient in the operation of state-of-the-art test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, BERTs, and Source meters.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Expertise in hand soldering surface mount and thru-hole components.
• Understanding of signal integrity challenges and complexities in test setups.

Desired Skills:

• Advanced degree in an engineering discipline or electronics.
• Extensive experience in an electronics laboratory setting, preferably in ASIC development or related fields.
• Proven track record of successful project management and execution.
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior staff.

Work Environment: The work environment for this role typically involves office-based activities with collaboration with analog design, CAD, and physical verification teams. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or customer engagements.

Clearance: This position requires a US government security clearance. As such, US citizenship is required.

Work schedules: Flexible 9/80 Work schedules with every other Friday off.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time, with potential hybrid opportunity
