ABOUT THE POSITION
The SR Director, Marketing will lead the Corporate and Group marketing and branding strategies. This position supports the Sales Department and Corporate to promote our image and branding of our products.
Deliverables & Responsibilities- Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
- Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities.
- Organize, coordinate, and develop a staff of personnel capable of producing quality advertising products in all media, promotional items, audio visual, events, or any other request that concerns the image or branding of the company.
- Responsible for the preparation of department budget and compliance with the budget.
- Organizing and managing company’s tradeshows for domestic and international sales.
- Meet deadlines for all media and events.
- Evaluates staff performance at meeting company and personal performance goals and makes recommendations based on appraisals.
- Ensure the Department stays current with technology affecting the output and storage of photos, literature, and all advertising files.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Advertising or Marketing required.
- 12+ years of experience in the Advertising industry required.
- Minimum of three years in a leadership/people manager role.
- Must be able to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Computer skills in Adobe artistic programs and word documents required.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required.
- Must be able to prepare and manage budgets.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues in the most positive fashion. Provide coaching and discipline to departmental employees, as needed.
- Must have extensive knowledge in advertising management (printed material, design, copy preparation, proofreading, ad programs, photography, art preparation, trade shows, and audio visuals).
- The ability to produce and artistically evaluate any assignment that affect the image or branding of the company.
Responsible for direct supervision of entire Marketing Department and oversee all jobs from conception to completion. This may include overseeing conceiving the job in creative meetings, designing the project, writing, photography, producing the job or event, acquiring ad space, and placement.
