The TAR Schedule Supervisor will oversee all scheduling activities related to Turnaround (TA) events, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of project timelines. They will lead the scheduling team, provide guidance on scheduling practices, and foster a collaborative work environment to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Supervision:
    • Lead and supervise the scheduling team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective scheduling practices and team performance.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
  2. Schedule Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for scheduling activities within the turnaround team.
    • Provide guidance and oversight to team members during the scheduling process.
    • Review and approve schedules developed by team members to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
    • Offer support and resources to address challenges or obstacles encountered during the scheduling process.
    • Monitor progress and timelines of schedule development activities to ensure timely completion.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to promote a cohesive scheduling process.
    • Provide assurance to detailed schedules for turnarounds using scheduling software, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
    • Ensure all schedules are fully resource-loaded and leveled, with activity relationships determined for scope integration.
    • Coordinate with the Projects group to integrate event schedules with project activities and communicate the integrated schedule.
    • Identify opportunities to rationalize scheduling efforts and streamline processes.
  3. Continuous Improvement:
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives, looking for opportunities to enhance scheduling processes and optimize turnaround timelines.
    • Participate in post-event critique sessions and Lessons Learned workshops to identify areas for improvement and best practices.
Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
    • Proven experience in scheduling, turnaround management, with a minimum of 7 years in a similar role, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
    • Proficiency in scheduling software and tools, including Primavera.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and disciplines.
    • In-depth knowledge of Downstream Manufacturing TA standards, processes, and recommended practices is preferred.
